近两年，借助中国的“一带一路”倡议，中斯两国各领域互利合作不断拓展。截至2016年底，中国在斯里兰卡签订工程承包合同额约180多亿美元，包括公路、铁路、机场和港口等重点项目。中斯两国大项目合作也在不断推进。
In the past two years， driven by the "Belt and Road" initiative of China， China and Sri Lanka have further expanded the mutually beneficial cooperation： China has made an accumulated project contract value of more than 18 billion US dollars in Sri Lanka by 2016 including highways， railways， airports and ports and so on. Now the cooperation on large projects between the two countries is moving smoothly， too.
